Our two-story, 15,000 sq. ft. school located at 307 East 63rd Street will be home to clean, bright, and spacious classrooms, two well-equipped multi-purpose rooms, and much more, all built from the ground up to foster children's natural curiosity through play-based activities, encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, and a lifelong love of learning.

Employee Benefits:
As an Employee, you will receive the following benefits:
  • Twenty-Seven (27) paid personal days per year as follows:
    • Ten (10) paid personal days per calendar year
    • Five (5) paid personal days between Christmas and New Year's Day when the school is closed
    • Seven (7) paid holidays per calendar year.

Lead Teacher Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using our proprietary Wonder of Learning® curriculum to engage and support each child’s growth
  • Classroom Management: Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Family Communication: Maintain open, effective and positive communication with families and guardians about their child’s progress and daily activities
  • Health and Safety: Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to uphold health and safety standards, licensing regulations and ensure their well-being
  • Professional Development: Participate actively in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills
  • Assessment and Documentation: Observe, assess and document children’s learning and development to inform activities and share insights with families
  • Team Collaboration: Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
  • Behavior Guidance: Model and implement positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth and conflict resolution.
Qualifications:
A lead teacher in the infant or 1-year-old program must hold one of the following qualifications:
  •  Associate's (AA or AS) degree in early childhood education; OR
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) certification and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood education within seven years; OR
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); nine college credits in early childhood education or child development; two years’ experience caring for children, and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood education within seven years; OR
  •  High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and five years of supervised experience in an infant/toddler classroom if currently employed in a permitted child care program; OR
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); and a study plan that is acceptable to the Department leading to nine credits in early childhood education or childhood development within two years; and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood education within seven years, if currently employed in a permitted child care program. 
**An associate's degree or higher is preferred
